Questions we hear

Two jobs,
one health plan?

About 16 in 100 Savannah residents under 65 went without health coverage, the Census Bureau reports. People with more than one job here ask us these.

“Do I count the pay from every job?”

Yes. Your income estimate covers all of your jobs, plus income for a spouse and anyone you claim on your taxes.

“One job offers a plan. Can I still shop?”

You can. But if that job plan counts as affordable and meets basic standards, you won't get a tax credit for a Georgia Access plan.

“My hours go up and down. What do I do?”

Make your closest estimate for 2027 from recent pay stubs. If your pay changes a lot during the year, report it to Georgia Access.

How we help

Multi-job help
in Savannah.

We add up the pay from each job, week by week or by the paycheck. Then we turn it into one 2027 household estimate.

Next, we set Georgia plans from more than one insurer side by side. If one of your jobs offers a plan, we put that offer next to them too.

If one job offers a plan only for you, a spouse or kids may still be able to shop on Georgia Access. We check each person.

Savannah plans each use their own doctors and hospitals. We check the ones you see around Chatham County.

Your Georgia Access plan is not tied to any job, so it stays with you. Report the change in pay so your tax credit can be figured again.

No. One plan covers you, no matter how many jobs you have. What matters is the income you expect from all of them.

Can I sign up any time if I change jobs?

Not always. Georgia Access says some life events in the past 60 days, like losing other coverage or moving, can open a special window to sign up.

What county is Savannah in?

What should I bring to the call?
