It depends on the plan, often the end of the month or year you turn 26. Losing that coverage usually gives you 60 days to choose a marketplace plan.

How we help
Since we work with more than one insurer, we can show you several Iowa plans at once. We explain each cost in simple terms, then add up a year so the monthly price isn't the only number you see.
If you take few prescriptions and rarely see a doctor, a different plan may fit than for someone with a regular specialist. We ask about the care you actually use, then match plans to it.
We look at what a plan charges for an urgent care visit before the deductible.
Student loans, rent, and a first car payment add up. We look for a plan where the monthly bill fits and the deductible fits your budget.
Some employers in the area offer plans after a waiting period. If your new job has one, we can help you look at a plan for the months in between.
